I was admitted to the California State Bar
in December of 1988, and worked as a legal secretary 13 years prior to that time.
I maintain my office in Santa Clarita, California, and am a member of the Los
Angeles County Bar Association, Santa Clarita Valley Bar Association and the San
Fernando Valley Bar Association. I am admitted to practice before the United States
Supreme Court.
Prior
to establishing private practice, I was the Managing Attorney for the UAW Legal
Service Plan in Van Nuys, California. Legal service plans are somewhat like legal
"HMO's" with similar employer-payroll deductions. I am a member of the Hyatt Legal
Service Plan and render estate planning services for them.
I
pride myself on being a "family lawyer," somewhat like the "family doctor," and
work hard to establish a long-term relationship with clients built on trust, availability,
and honesty.
I'm
a California native, and have been a resident of the Santa Clarita Valley for
31 years. I am a member of the American Association of University Women, the Santa
Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce, The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys,
and Future Business Leaders of America. I am a former Regional Occupational Teacher
on the subject of careers in law and have taught an introductory course regarding
careers in law for high school and adult students through the William S. Hart
Union High School District Regional Occupational Program. I have been a volunteer
mediator for the Superior Court seeking to allow litigants to resolve their disputes
without the cost of a lengthy trial.
